Buying spot capacity
Review and accept capacity for immediate delivery.
What spot capacity is
Spot means inference capacity for immediate delivery after a valid offer or quote is accepted and the prerequisites hold. It still has a named model, provider capacity, allowance, end time, and rate card.
A public model reference price is not a spot offer. Use the Spot delivery tab in Executable offers to see executable firm offers visible to you, or create a spot RFQ.
Browse available offers
Use Older records and Newer records below the offer list to move through server pages. The Spot delivery filter stays selected while you page. Switching to Future delivery starts from the first page of that delivery type.
A page contains currently visible offers; it is not a lifetime supply total or a guarantee that capacity will still be available at acceptance.
Spot offers show On acceptance as the delivery start. Quoted start (audit) preserves the supplier's original timestamp; your agreement records the actual acceptance time. The published delivery end stays fixed, so review how much delivery time remains before accepting.
Review a firm offer
- Open Executable offers and select Spot delivery and choose an offer for your required model.
- Check the supplier, remaining quantity, offer expiry, and delivery end.
- Read all prices and terms, including supported usage classes and throughput.
- Confirm the quoted quantity is at least 1 BT — one billion input-equivalent tokens. A firm offer is an instant clip: accept its published quantity, prices, and window exactly. Use an RFQ when you need a negotiated quantity or custom terms.
- Review the acceptance details and submit once you are satisfied.
Acceptance checks your authority, buying approval, expiry, and supplier capacity. Buying approval is a broker’s recorded decision that your organization may purchase. Capacity can change while you are reviewing an offer; an available listing is not a reservation.
When acceptance succeeds
The service creates an agreement and reserves capacity together. Open Orders & agreements to see the accepted model, rate card, quantity, delivery window, status, and remaining value.
The accepted agreement is the record of your terms. Later public catalogue changes do not rewrite its pricing.
If acceptance is unavailable
| Message or situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Buying approval required | Contact the team so a broker can record that your organization may purchase |
| Offer expired | Request a current offer or quote |
| Insufficient capacity | Request a current offer or use an RFQ for a negotiated quantity; the published firm-offer clip cannot be reduced during acceptance |
| Below minimum | Use at least 1 BT — one billion input-equivalent tokens |
| No spot offers | Create an RFQ or contact the team; do not treat catalogue rows as offers |

An active agreement with a configured eligible supplier route can be used through the unified API. Create a scoped key in API access and give your application team the agreement reference. Read API access and Usage and allowances.
Unused allowance normally expires at the agreement’s end without automatic refund or rollover unless your accepted terms explicitly provide otherwise.
